In 2024, Peebles CCC will be running cricket sessions for kids in P1-P3 (Junior Phoenix) and P4-P7 (Peebles Phoenix) at Whitestone Park. We’ll begin with a free taster session on Friday April 25th, 4:30-5:30. See below for further details.
What?
Cricket sessions for children in P1-P3 (Junior Phoenix) and P4-P7 (Peebles Phoenix). Everyone from complete beginners to those who have played before are welcome – our coaches will tailor sessions to take account of the needs and abilities of everyone. Younger players will play with soft balls and bats throughout, while older players will transition to playing with a hard ball and full protective equipment when they are ready. The club will provide all equipment.
Where and when?
At Whitestone Park in the centre of Peebles, every Friday evening, 4:30-5:30, from April 25th until the end of the school summer holidays on August 15th.
What does it cost?
£40 per child for as many sessions as you’re able to attend.
What’s included?
Kids will receive coaching from International Cricket Council-qualified coaches tailored to their age and ability level. Emphasis will be placed on enjoyment, with fundamental skills developed through fast-paced and inclusive drills and games. All kit is provided and participants will get snacks and drinks and each session – parents can stick aroudn for a cup of tea and a chat as well!
