Priorsford Primary Health Week

Priorsford P7, P6 and P5 pupils enjoyed learning about cricket together with some coaching recently down at Whitestone Park.

Pupils visited the cricket pavilion and learnt about cricket in the Borders as well as famous cricketing countries. In the question and answer sections pupils viewed and tried on a range of cricket equipment including bats, seam balls, helmets and pads. They also saw the teapot and protective sunscreen for the sunshine!

Despite slightly damp conditions everyone did really well as they viewed the ropped off cricket square and then enjoyed coaching activities. Catching and throwing was the focus before finishing with small games of kwik  cricket representing Scotland, England , India and Australia. Peebles cricket club run junior sessions on Friday afternoons with details on Peeblescricket.com.

Thank you to teachers and parent helpers for bringing the classes down for  some enjoyable sessions. Howzat!
